About MSI

Management and Science Institute (MSI) in Sri Lanka functions as the offshore campus of Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. MSI offers a wide range of Diploma and MSU Degree programmes that are directly awarded by MSU Malaysia. Under MSI and MSU.

All Diploma programmes conducted at MSI are accepted and recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka. Students studying at MSI follow the same academic standards and quality assurance measures as those of MSU Malaysia, ensuring international recognition and mobility of qualifications.

Through this affiliation, MSI students gain access to globally recognized MSU programmes, with the opportunity to transfer or progress to MSU Malaysia for further studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

About MSU

MSU Malaysia holds recognition from multiple bodies including Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and is ranked by QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education, with QS 5-Star ratings in areas like teaching and employability. The university is recognized by partner universities worldwide, is accredited by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) for its MBBS program, and received an award as Engaged & Sustainable University of the Year in 2024. 

In terms of the provisions of Public Administration Circular No. 16/92 dated 13th March 1992, the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka recognizes universities that are listed in the Commonwealth Universities Yearbook and the International Handbook of Universities, which serve as authentic references on universities and higher educational institutions worldwide.

Accordingly, the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka recognizes Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia as a duly recognized university.
